SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many things happened this week that are merely so overwhelming.
Monday- vs Anglican. Lost. ): Wed- vs Jurong. Lost. )):
We thought we were out of the tournament & everyone was so disappointed with us due to our lack of fighting-spirit performance. & even thought that coach has given up on us.
So I tried to comfort myself by saying: "Maybe it's just time to get back to my studies. Afterall, it's my O's this year.)': "
But things ain't easy. Cause others may just look at Basketball as a CCA & we joined it just for the sake of getting CCA points. & though at times, i felt that too. But the tears & laughters team mates & i shared are just too heart-warming.
Outsiders really don't know how much we have been through, or perhaps how much i've been through. But deep in our hearts, we Ourselves know how much all this mean to us.
We broke our promise thrice, or rather broke his heart thrice?
We lost to Anglican due to our big-headed-ness. Too complacent.. Therefore, first lesson learned: NEVER be complacent.
Today- vs Nanyang.
We need to win them by minimum of 4 points in order to get into the next round- Nationals Top4.
We played like real basketball players & fought like warriors. BUT,
we disappointed the other team. HEHEHEH. Gotcha!
Final whistle screameeeeeeeed, it was heard from court to court. Cheers & applause echoed the entire sports hall. Final score: 33-37. Taste of victory is so darn sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Rmb i woke up at 0342hr & i thought to myself: MUST WIN NANYANG BY 4 POINTSSS! & POOOOOOMB. I dropped back into my bed & sleep! -.-
The desire to win is simply so strong. That i actually woke up in the middle of the night to remind myself of that! Hahaha.
Yup, Nationals Top4 now. Great job girls!
Last but not least, thank MR ANGfor giving us this glimmer of hope! :D
Win as one, Lose as one! :DD
Last lesson learned:If WE think/believe WE can, WE CAN!
